2021... What a great year it has been (as far as weddings go)

While we all hoped that 2021 would be better than 2020, and in some ways it was, it was still a challenging year for us all. Even with the many challenges like wildfires, pandemics, climate change, traffic, my coffee pot not being big enough, etc. it was a great year. It’s important to maintain sight of the good and when there is a plentiful amount of gloom within the atmosphere, taking time to acknowledge the good things that are simultaneously occurring is an important exercise to maintain perspective and find the resolve to move through the more challenging aspects of life in a way that our future selves can be proud of. In aviation the horizon is a point of reference that is of utmost importance. Taking that time to reflect on the good, is the horizon for daily life. Fortunately for me, my job makes it pretty hard not to see the good each and every day, and for that I have many many couples to collectively thank.

This small portion of my website is often very neglected due to the fact that I am usually editing photos and therefore not placing any meaningful attention to the fact that regular updates to my website help to increase its traffic. but here I am now, with a spare moment and an overwhelming sense of gratitude to so many newlyweds that I would like to express to the deep corners of the world wide web. Or at least my miniscule corner in it. From Steve and Deanna, who have more energy for life in their late 60’s than anyone I’ve met in their 20’s (I’m convinced that they’ve found the fountain that Herodotus wrote about), to Jesse and Ryan, who are just out of college and starting what will be very exciting careers in medicine, to Zoe and Ben, two biochemists whose research contributed to the vaccines that are saving so many lives. There are too many to write about and really if you’re here its just to see some sweet photos anyway so here is a mixture of fun candid and less candid shots from the beginning to the end of 2021 in no particular order.

Keep your eyes on the horizon.
